approach to design
Space is an expensive commodity, and building of any kind impacts our environment. Given these realities, it is Leah's mission as a designer to make spaces that really work for the owner, with the following priorities:
Design to the appropriate scale
Minimize site impact
Maximize passive solar
Create efficient use of space
Use green materials
Incorporate landscape design
Stay sensitive to cost
This mission translates into a cooperative relationship with clients where the owner leads the design process. Together we combine expertise with expectations to create new spaces that are appreciated for years to come.
Process
Designing the perfect home or addition is a process. Key to this process is helping clients make decisions by enabling them to fully visualize their new space as various options are explored. Leah uses a 3D design program that allows clients to see potential design solutions modeled—often furnished and detailed—eliminating unknowns and alleviating concerns.
